Our Services

1

New Home Construction

Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.  They put in 200 hours of "sweat equity".  Families are selected based on three criteria:

  • Applicant's level of need

  • Willingness to partner with Habitat

  • Ability to repay a mortgage through an affordable payment plan

2

Critical Home Repairs

This program focuses on providing home repairs and modifications to low-income senior citizens without a safety net.  All repairs and modifications are performed at no cost to the homeowner.  The homes must be owner-occupied and current on mortgage, taxes, and home equity payments.  Critical repairs range from accessible walk-in showers to roofing, home-leveling, and much needed AC systems.

3

Financial Education Classes

The Financial Education classes cover topics such as budgeting, credit cards, credit reports, debt and loans, saving, investing, and planning for the future.  These classes are open to the public as a service to the community with the hope that financial education will empower more citizens o have stronger and more secure futures.
