32nd Home is Complete

We’re excited to celebrate that Colorado County Habitat for Humanity’s 32nd home was completed in June 2026, and the Acevedo family has officially moved into their new home!

Thank you to every volunteer and donor who helped make this milestone possible. Your time, hard work, and dedication changed the lives of a local family.

While House #32 is complete, our work is far from over. We’re already planning our next Habitat home, and we’ll need volunteers when construction begins. Volunteer opportunities will be available once we start our next home. While our building timeline has not yet been finalized, you can sign up now to be notified when volunteer days are scheduled.

No experience is necessary—just a willing heart and helping hands. We look forward to building with you as we continue creating safe, affordable homes for local families.

See what our team accomplished in 2025.

New Home Construction

We build decent and affordable homes in partnership with families in need of a decent place to live. Habitat homebuyers help build their own homes alongside volunteers and then purchase their home to pay an affordable mortgage.

Critical Home Repairs

We work with homeowners in need of critical home repairs to provide affordable solutions to those in need of assistance.

Colorado County Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit Christian housing organization. CCHFH became and affiliate of Habitat for Humanity in 1996.

We dedicated our first home in 1997 and our second home in 2000. In the first ten years, CCHFH built four homes. In 2006, we received a $500,000 donation, which empowered CCHFH to build 22 more homes over the next 15 years. When Austin County Habitat for Humanity closed its doors, we received their remaining mortgages. We currently have 27 mortgages. In 2021, we celebrated our 25 years as a Habitat Affiliate.

In the summer of 2023, CCHFH started the Critical Home Repairs Program to serve more homeowners in Colorado County. By November 2025, we have spent over $200,000 on critical home repairs and helped 28 families.

Our Mission

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build Homes, Communities and Hope.

Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter in partnership with people and families in need.

Our Vision

A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Make an Impact

Every single one of us deserves the opportunity for a better future, and decent shelter is the most critical element to living well.

When Habitat Homeowners partner with us, they begin a journey to a better, healthier, more financially stable life. Every child, every parent, every person, deserves to feel strength and stability; and every single one of us can do something right now to help make that possible for another family.

Your financial support, your voice, and your time will help bring strength, stability and self-reliance to families in need of a decent place to live. Partner with us and impact the lives of Central Texans.
